2016-17 Queen: Bridgette LaHaye

2016-17 Queen Bridgette LaHaye is a 20-year-old student at California State University San Marcos. Currently a psychology major, Bridgette plans to obtain a Master's degree as a licensed marriage & family therapist and to teach psychology at a university. She works at Mary's Tack & Feed in Del Mar, where she shares her love of horses with coworkers and customers. Bridgette also loves to ride her quarter-horse mare, JC Penny, in all her Queen appearances at parades and rodeos around southern California.

“It has been a lifelong dream of mine to represent the Poway Rodeo as their queen," says Bridgette. "I have been involved with the Poway Rodeo competing in barrel racing, running flags, volunteering, or serving as a queen since 2008. I had the privilege of representing the Poway Rodeo as Jr. Queen in 2011 and 2012. I am so excited to have this opportunity to represent and be a part of this rodeo again. I was born in Poway, and both sides of my family are from Poway and have deep roots here, so this really means the world to me. I am honored to be your 2016 & 2017 Poway Rodeo Queen!"
