SAM’S POSSE Exceptional Rodeo is a FREE event open to children with intellectual and physical disabilities from ages 5-18. It will take place at the Poway Rodeo arena, located at 14336 Tierra Bonita Road, Poway CA, Saturday September 25th, at 10am. This event is an opportunity for children to experience the sport of Rodeo by using specially designed equipment for children of all abilities. Activities include…..Stick Pony Barrel Racing and Pole Bending. “Not So Rough Stock” riding, (manually operated rocking barrel), and Roping. Participants will interact with Rodeo Queens and Princesses, therapy horses as well as professional Rodeo Cowboys and Cowgirls.
Registration must be received by SAM’S POSSE no later than September 11th, 2020 and is on a first come first served basis. The event is limited to 25 participants. We will have a waiting list and you will be notified if your child is next in line.
We make every effort to include ALL participants regardless of their limitations. Each participant will have a buddy to help them navigate through the event. Participants will receive a T-Shirt, hat, souvenirs and 2 tickets for the 1pm afternoon performance of Saturday’s PRCA Rodeo. Additional rodeo tickets may be purchased at a special rate.
